SGX LOGO DESIGN
Firstly, SGX stands for; Student Game Expo. This is a segment devoted to student/local games made in the Winter Park area in Florida specifically for exposure. Here many people come to review these games and give much needed feedback, and serves as a loose QA testing session. This logo however was requested in the nick-of-time and I got straight to working!
THE PROCESS:
The goal was something ostentatious that would stand out and get attention, but also classy and cool. The colors were to be limited to (as displayed above), Yellow, Purple, and Black. Initially I worked with a few mock-ups of what the logo should look like and ended up designing only one other mock-up:
