BARKITONE

BARKITONE is a dog training brand. The Brand Owner explains that: the name BARKI was to exemplify and establish dogs and barking as a language form, TONE on the other hand focuses on they're love for creating music as a sound engineer, together forming BARKITONE* (also a play on Baritone). The focus of this logo was to show breeds of dogs with a design concept completely inspired and directed by the commissioner. The goal was to bring music and dogs together into a logo, accompanied with specific guidelines.

THE PROCESS: Conceptualizing

The process for this piece was very involving and inclusive of the commissioner, which some wiggle room for creativity. As a newly established brand and company, they wanted to stand out. In the conceptual stage, there were discussions on shape and size of the silhouette, what specific elements were required, and title plus placement of each element. (Click to enlarge)

THE PROCESS: Blocking

When it came down to the next stage, blocking was essential. The client requested a lot of tweaks and changes to push the overall blocking of the logo. The final product would be the culmination of our experimentation period with blocking. (Click to enlarge)

TYPOGRAPHY BLOCKING
